Kinship Foster Carers
Kinship fostering describes foster care provided by family and friends
of the child who is being looked after by the local authority. The North
West London Fostering Consortium members have developed some NWLFC Kinship Guidance to assist practitioners, and have worked together to celebrate
and promote kinship foster care.
Kinship foster carers from any of the consortium members are welcome
to attend the training courses below that are run specifically and exclusively for kinship carers, and should speak with their social worker
about being nominated. All nominations should be made to the contact person
list.
